HOLLYWOOD, Fla., May 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill Wright has been appointed to the position of President at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. He will be responsible for all operations and management of South Florida's largest gaming and entertainment complex. Wright's appointment was announced by Seminole gaming Chief Operating Officer Larry Mullin.
A gaming industry veteran, Wright joined the Seminole Hard Rock team from Station Casinos in Las Vegas, where he was most recently Vice President and General Manager of Green Valley Ranch Resort. While at Station Casinos, he was also Vice President and General Manager of Boulder Station and Sunset Station, both in Las Vegas, as well as Senior Vice President of Operations, West Region, in the Station Casinos corporate office.
He began his gaming industry career at the Flamingo Hilton, Las Vegas. His career with Caesar's Entertainment spanned 19 years and included stints at both the Flamingo Hilton Reno and the Reno Hilton, as well as Bally's Las Vegas, where he was Vice President of Hotel Operations. He served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Caesar's Grand Gulfport Casino in Gulfport, Miss., prior to the Caesar's and Harrah's merger in 2005.
Wright joined Harrah's Entertainment in 2005 as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Grand Biloxi. He became Senior Vice President and General Manager at Harrah's Horseshoe and Sheraton Casino Hotels in Tunica, Miss., before being promoted to Regional President of the Mid-South Region for Harrah's Corporation in 2006.

A native of Ohio, Wright grew up there and in Salt Lake City, Utah. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and an MBA degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Wright has three children and is into cycling, travel and photography. In fact, if you watched this year's Liberty Bowl, broadcast from Memphis, Tenn., and pairing Texas A&M and West Virginia Universities, you may have seen Wright with a camera on the sidelines, as he is the official Liberty Bowl photographer. He also served for many years on the Liberty Bowl Board of Directors, one of his many community service commitments.
