Bill Mayer Joins Ann Arbor SPARK as Director, Business Accelerator

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Ann Arbor SPARK, the region's driving force of innovation and economic growth, recently added Bill Mayer as leader of its business accelerator team.  In his new role as Ann Arbor SPARK's director, Business Accelerator, Mayer will oversee the organization's efforts to help businesses in the region grow.

Mayer has founded and exited multiple start-ups in the technology and finance sectors. His areas of expertise are in finance, securities and quantitative analysis.  Mayer has founded and worked with numerous businesses covering a broad range of industry sectors ranging from start-up ventures to Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to joining Ann Arbor SPARK as director, Business Accelerator, Mayer was a consultant to SPARK's Business Accelerator clients since 2007.  Mayer has served as a consultant to emerging companies, helping them with early-stage strategic planning.  He developed financial models, investor road shows and advised on commercialization strategies for companies across the U.S.

Mayer is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a bachelor of business administration degree.
