OAKLAND, Calif., March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill Marsh, MD, has joined The Permanente Federation as associate executive director, government relations and care delivery information technology. In this role, Dr. Marsh will be responsible for leading government relations, public policy, care delivery information strategy and virtual care.
A respected physician in pediatric pulmonary, allergy and immunology, Dr. Marsh most recently served as vice president and chief of staff for the Colorado Permanente Medical Group. There he worked on all aspects of member experience and government relations. He has also co-chaired the Virtual Care Workgroup for Kaiser Permanente with oversight for new virtual care capabilities, including mobile applications, telemedicine and telehealth.
Prior to this role, he was associate medical director of market and member experience at CPMG. Dr. Marsh joined CPMG in 1989 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including senior vice president of business operations and service, chief operating officer, associate medical director of resource stewardship and innovation, and associate medical director of operations.

Dr. Marsh earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his pediatric residency at Oklahoma Children's Memorial Hospital. He completed a fellowship in both allergy/immunology and pediatric pulmonology at National Jewish Hospital in Denver.
