Bill Crowell, former Deputy Director of the NSA and former Silicon Valley CEO, and John N. Stewart, Cisco's Chief Security Officer, join Fixmo's Board of Directors
WASHINGTON, DC, April 21 /PRNewswire/ - Fixmo Inc., a leading provider of secure end-to-end lifecycle management solutions for mobile devices, today announced Bill Crowell, former Deputy Director of the National Security Agency (NSA) and former Silicon Valley CEO, and John N. Stewart, Vice President and Chief Security Officer of Cisco, have joined the company's board of directors.
Crowell is a renowned information security expert with more than 40 years of experience in the federal government and private sector. He served in several senior positions with the NSA before being named Deputy Director in 1994. After leaving the NSA in 1997, Crowell served as President and CEO of Cylink Corporation, a leading provider of e-business security solutions. In 1999 he was appointed to the President's Export Council, which advised the government on trade and export policy. Crowell serves on many defense-related panels examining intelligence and security systems.
"Fixmo's technology ensures the integrity of large organizations' mobile devices is maintained at all times," Crowell said. "The company has hundreds of thousands of devices under management. Combining its unique approach to integrity assurance with the company's proven track record, Fixmo can address the needs of any government organization or enterprise seeking to secure its mobile workforce."
Stewart has more than 20 years of experience in the security industry and is one of the leading cybersecurity experts in the U.S. In his role at Cisco, Stewart leads the security operations, product security and government security functions. His contributions include sitting on the CSIS Commission on Cybersecurity to the 44th Presidency, an advisor to multiple successful startup companies in the security industry, and an industry thought leadership via testimony, public speaking and his security blog.
"Mobility is today's advantage, and organizations want their employees to be as mobile as possible to increase their productivity," Stewart said. "Unaddressed concerns about keeping devices and information as secure as possible can hinder adoption, and with it, that advantage. Fixmo's technology, with its ability to manage mobile devices in near-real time, gives organizations a better option: deploy full-featured mobile workforce solutions with security embedded."
"Fixmo is proud to announce the appointments of two such reputable and respected members of the security community to our board of directors," said Rick Segal, Co-Founder and CEO of Fixmo. "Their decades of experience in the security industry and unparalleled knowledge of security in government and large enterprise will no doubt help Fixmo grow the presence of our secure mobile management offerings."
