Biisafe Buddy, a stylish smartphone accessory for easy location sharing, reached its $35,000 goal on the crowdsourcing platform Indiegogo. The project is still open for 13 days and will close on the 24th of December. The product is currently available for pre-order at $35. It will be available in March 2014, with a number of early shippings in February to the first Indiegogo backers.

BiiSafe Buddy enables easy and quick location sharing with just one press of a button. The location update is sent to pre-selected contacts who can see it on their mobile in a map view. The location can also be shared to Facebook.
The solution can be defined as a personal safety device, bringing peace of mind when for example moving alone. It can also be seen as a parental device as kids can easily "check in" with just one press of a button, replacing the need of a phone call or a text message. BiiSafe Buddy works with smartphones, iPhone and Android, over Bluetooth 4.0.
