COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Big Lots, Inc. (NYSE: BIG) today announced the appointment of Stephen M. Haffer as Senior Vice President, Chief Customer Officer. Mr. Haffer will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team of the Company with primary responsibility for customer engagement and messaging touchpoints, including marketing, advertising, brand development and ecommerce.
Commenting on today's announcement, James R. Chambers, non-executive Chairman of the Board of Big Lots stated, "We are delighted to have Steve join the Big Lots family. Prior to Big Lots, Mr. Haffer was an executive at American Signature, Inc., the parent company for Value City Furniture and American Signature Home stores, where he served in a number of roles over a 25-year career spanning Marketing, ecommerce, Information Technology, and Business Development, leading up to his appointment as Chief Innovation Officer in 2016. Mr. Haffer is graduate of Tulane University.
