Big Data Think Tank: Encapsulating the Phenomenon

While the sheer volume of Big Data is enough to overwhelm several existing data infrastructures, the bigger challenge lies in dealing with 'many data,' which includes types of data that traditional databases were never designed to manage. The opening session of the Think Tank will be followed by a talk titled "Using Big Data to Make a Powerful Impact" by GE Global Research CMO, John Magee, who will explore the market forces driving Big Data and how it can be converted into business value. This session will provide a framework for aligning business and technology stakeholders around a Big Data initiative.

The discussion, led by Cotrupe and scheduled to feature Magee as well as other panelists from Birst, Comptel, comScore, Huawei, SAS, and Seattle Children's Hospital, will also explore whether all organizations need Big Data solutions, and which solution is best suited to your business.
