LOS ANGELES, Oct. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) will honor outstanding members of the Los Angeles community at its annual Rising Stars Gala, October 28, 2011 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. Awards recognize individuals who are inspiring and positive role models for young people. Nancy Josephson, Partner, WME Entertainment, receives the Sherry Lansing Award; Kenny Ortega, award-winning director and choreographer will receive the Walt Disney Man of the Year Award; and Sandy Bilson, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles Board Member and Guild President will receive the Legacy Award. The gala will be hosted by Ricki Lake and Tyra Banks and Jennifer Grey will present. Honorary Gala Chairs include Melanie Cook, Roy P. and Sheri Disney, Sherry Lansing and Steve Soboroff.

The gala will also feature an opportunity drawing with two prizes: a 3-year lease on a 2012 Toyota Prius courtesy of Toyota of Hollywood and two first-class American Airlines tickets to anywhere in the 48 contiguous United States and American Airlines Hawaii destinations.
