A subcontractor for Windstream Communications, Lineman Farms recently signed on as a U-Haul® neighborhood dealer and supplies moving trucks, trailers and towing equipment, support rental items, after-hours drop-off and in-store pickup for boxes in addition to U-Box containers and a U-Box storage warehouse.
Lineman Farms is located at 1004 Park Central Ave., just eight miles southwest of the university off Highway 27 and four miles northeast of downtown Nicholasville. Operating hours are 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Since Lineman Farms works exclusively with Windstream Communications and does not sell cable, phone and Internet products, owner Melisa Quinn teamed with U-Haul to generate extra revenue and provide a needed service to the community.
With 257 cubic feet of space and one-ton capacity, U-Box containers are delivered to and picked up at your door, can be packed on your timeframe and are stored in a secure warehouse until you are ready to retrieve your belongings. U-Box containers can be shipped anywhere in the U.S. or Canada and stored for as little as a few weeks to a few years.
Another extra service Lineman Farms offers is tree removal for residential customers. All power-line technicians are required to be able to perform tree removal in the event of storm damage, but it is unusual for this service to be extended to community residents.
Quinn and her husband, Bejaie, hope to use the revenue from their U-Haul affiliation on their children and family vacations. Since their children are involved in sports, the Quinns take the opportunity to sponsor cheerleading and athletics teams in the neighboring city of Harrodsburg, where they live.
Lineman Farms got its name because the Quinns have worked in communications for 16 years. They also own a horse farm.
Lineman Farms is a great place to become U-Haul Famous. Take your picture in front of a U-Haul product, send it in and your face could land on the side of a U-Haul truck. Upload your photo through Instagram using #uhaulfamous, or go to www.uhaulfamous.com to submit photos and learn more.
