BIA Updates TotalDiscovery to Include Notification Features
At-a-Glance Administrator Reports Keep Users More Aware
NEW YORK, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Business Intelligence Associates, Inc. (BIA), the leader in online eDiscovery software, today announced the release of newly updated notification functionality for its cloud-based eDiscovery solution, TotalDiscovery.
"One of the problems with the way eDiscovery projects are managed today is that most solutions require the person responsible for managing the process to call their vendor or login to a system to get status updates about what's going on, thus forcing the legal department to babysit the process in a manual way," said Zachary Drummond, BIA Senior Vice President of Product Development. "We've solved that with our Notification features and have now expanded that power with this new round of updates – now everyone involved in supporting the preservation and eDiscovery processes will have information critical to their function, automatically delivered right to them."
The new feature is available to all users and can be accessed in the Notifications tab of the Account Information screen. Status updates can be configured to control which specific aspects of the eDiscovery process they would like to be updated on.
Special notifications will be particularly valuable to users who manage the preservation and eDiscovery process for their company or firm and require a simple-to-read synopsis of their progress – such as how many employees have acknowledged legal hold notices, whether data has been securely gathered and other progress statistics related to critical processes in the application. This new feature is added to the already important Legal Hold Reminder features that encourage employees to maintain legal compliance.
New users create accounts directly on the site by registering with a few simple clicks and can begin issuing legal hold notices at no charge, without hardware to purchase or software to install. Once employees are placed on legal hold, advanced features of TotalDiscovery enable quick and easy data analysis and gathering. With a few simple clicks of a mouse, administrators can manage gathering corporate data from network resources, laptops, social media and cloud applications like Facebook and Salesforce.com. Once the data is gathered, it is quickly analyzed and can be filtered and exported to many popular legal document review platforms.
