BG Capital Group Acquires 50-Percent Interest in Ocala, Florida's Cowboy Saloon
PLANTATION, Fla., June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BG Capital Group has acquired a 50-percent interest in the Cowboy Saloon, downtown Ocala, Florida's most sophisticated and largest night club and gathering spot, which opened last month, announced Board Chairman Bobby Genovese.
"Cowboys is the number one entertainment spot in Ocala and the ultimate place for friends and families to gather and have fun in a classic western themed night club and restaurant that is modern and sophisticated," says Genovese who plans to open three more locations this year throughout the country.
The 12,000-square-foot Cowboy Saloon with its 2,500-square-foot dance floor, is among three venues housed within the massive 25,000 square-foot entertainment complex, which will be fully operational within the next several months. It will include The Coliseum, a 10,000-square-foot Miami-style nightclub and lounge, and the 3,000-square-foot Rock House lounge and grill, which will host the nation's top music talents in a series of year-round concerts.
The club opened in late May 2014 following a multimillion-dollar build-out that replaced the old Midnight Rodeo complex in downtown Ocala, which closed in 2011.
"The high end country western concept hits home with people of all music preferences, but especially here in Ocala," says Founder/Partner, Anthony Perera, who developed and launched the Cowboys brand in South Florida two years ago. "The sophisticated club and interior gives patrons the overall experience of a virtual country western town. It's extraordinary."
The Cowboys partnership signals BG Capital Group's expanding investment in and restoration efforts of key Marion County landmarks, which is also home to Genovese's 100-acre BG Equestrian Resort developed and launched in 2012.
Other key acquisitions made by Genovese's BG Capital Group are: 11 East, Ocala's most sophisticated cocktail lounge and gathering spot; the renovation and relaunch of nearby Silver Springs Park and its neighboring Wild Waters — Ocala's largest water park; and the newly-created Ocala Polo Club located in the Florida Horse Park, which will feature polo lessons and polo teams.
"We are thrilled to be a major force in this extraordinary community, which is the perfect complement to our hospitality and philanthropic interests, and to making a contribution in restoring one of the most beautiful regions in north central Florida," said Genovese. "It is an honor and a privilege to give these one-of-a-kind landmarks new life."
