LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- During the month of February, Beverly Center will ring in the Year of the Monkey with special festivities, shopping incentives, promotions and traditional festive décor, including the return of its popular Wishing Tree. Beginning Thursday, Feb. 4, Beverly Center will kick off its third annual Lunar New Year event hosted by celebrity guests, Janel Parrish (Pretty Little Liars), and Harry Shum Jr. (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Sword of Destiny and Shadowhunters).
Lunar New Year is one of the most significant holidays in the Chinese calendar. For the month of February, guests will have the opportunity to celebrate through the following unique in-center elements, including:

To bring good fortune, guests that make purchases of $500 or more during the month of February will be presented with customary red envelopes, which will include special gift cards. Guests who present purchase receipts of $500 or more will receive a $25 gift card; guests who spend $1,000 or more will receive a $50 gift card (same day purchases only, while supplies last). |

Lunar New Year celebrations will take place around the popular enchanting Wishing Tree located on Level 6 in Center Court where guests are invited to write their wishes. In the Chinese culture, placing a wish on the Wishing Tree bestows blessings and makes wishes come true. The tree is also adorned with cultural elements such as coins, lanterns and ribbons to symbolize joy, luck and prosperity in the year to come. |
