"I'm sure you know how much I LOVE dogs, so you can imagine how excited I was to be asked to be the Celebrity Hostess for the 35th Anniversary celebration for Dogs for the Deaf. This is truly a win/win organization. They rescue dogs from shelters and train them to help people with a variety of disabilities--the dogs are saved and then they go on to enhance and even save the lives of the people they are helping. Join me on August 4 to help this special organization celebrate 35 years of saving dogs and helping people with disabilities. I am looking forward to meeting you." Betty White

Dogs for the Deaf
Dogs for the Deaf pairs extraordinary dogs with people who have a variety of disabilities and challenges. Our dogs are rescued from shelters, specially trained, and placed free of charge with clients all across the U.S. and Canada. Dogs for the Deaf provides lifetime support for every partnership we form. In addition to Hearing Dogs, we also train dogs for children on the autism spectrum and professionals who work with people with disabilities.
Generation Rescue
Generation Rescue helps over 25,000 families a year by providing medical assistance, direct support through their toll-free hotline, a network of parent mentors in over 38 countries, education and guidance.
This year, more children will be diagnosed with autism than pediatric AIDS, cancer, diabetes and down syndrome combined. Of those children diagnosed around 40% cannot speak, and many are prone to wandering from their homes. A guide dog, such as those placed through Dogs for the Deaf, provides security for young children as they are specifically trained to guide their children back home or to a safe place.
