BetterInvesting Celebrates 60 Years of Empowering Individual Investors at BetterInvesting National Convention, Sept. 15-18 in Covington, Kentucky
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich., Sept. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 600 miles away from the minute-to-minute volatility on Wall Street, individual investors will be sharing 60 years of education about what works in fundamental, long-term investing at the BetterInvesting National Convention, Sept. 15-18 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, Covington, Ky.
Investment education is at the heart of the BetterInvesting National Convention. "For the volunteers who teach the sessions throughout the convention, their only objective is to help individual investors understand how they can reach their long-term financial goals by following commonsense investing strategies," says Joe Parks, the convention's chairman. "It's more important than ever for Americans to take investment education into their own hands."
During the convention, attendees can choose from among the 60+ classroom sessions and panel discussions on how to select stocks and mutual funds, portfolio management and retirement planning. A Beginning Investors Track is an all-day series of progressive classes, culminating in the students creating their own stock analysis. More experienced investors will find plenty of options, too, including sessions on advanced analysis and investment techniques.
On Saturday, Sept. 17, the public is invited to attend the free concurrent corporate presentations , the Corporate Expo and the presentations of keynote speaker Randall Eley, president of Edgar Lomax Co. and a frequent guest on CNN, CNBC and PBS's "Nightly Business Report," who will provide his outlook for the stock market. There also will be presentations from the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Procter & Gamble and Cincinnati Financial Corp. are among the area companies presenting company financial information at the BetterInvesting National Convention.
The convention is the premiere education event of BetterInvesting, a nonprofit investment education association. The association's BetterInvesting Volunteer Advisory Board comprising volunteers who are passionate about the association's mission, conduct the annual event.
