BetterCloud Strengthens Executive Leadership Team with Key Hires
SaaS industry veterans join to bolster the company's customer success, legal, security and marketing efforts
NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- BetterCloud, the leading SaaS Operations Management platform, announced today it has expanded its executive team with four new leadership hires. Kristi Faltorusso has joined the company as Vice President of Customer Success; Manuel Martinez-Herrera as Vice President of Legal Affairs; Carlos Batista as Vice President of Security; and Mat Rider as Vice President of Marketing.

Kristi Faltorusso brings over a decade of experience in customer success roles. As Vice President of Customer Success, Kristi will be responsible for all aspects of the post-sale customer journey at BetterCloud, including customer engagement, adoption, retention and growth. Previously, Kristi served as Global Director of Enterprise Customer Success with Sisense, a leading business intelligence technology, where she supported the company's largest and most strategic partners globally. She was responsible for post-sale implementation, adoption, training, retention and growth for numerous Fortune 100 customers leveraging the solution for internal data analysis and analytics integration. Kristi also served as the Vice President of Practice Development and Customer Success at BrightEdge, the leading SaaS provider of SEO management, and was responsible for the post-sale customer experience and maturation for the company's enterprise clients.
As Vice President of Legal Affairs, Manuel Martinez-Herrera will leverage his 15 years of experience in the legal and compliance fields to drive all legal, compliance and regulatory matters at BetterCloud. Previously, Manuel served as Vice President of Legal & Compliance and Corporate Secretary at Namely where he helped the company scale from 200 employees to over 550. He was also the first executive sponsor of Namely's diversity and inclusion initiative. Prior to that, he was Assistant General Counsel at MetLife and the practice group lead of the Global Employee Benefits unit. Manuel was also a Senior Associate with White & Case, a global law firm, where he provided legal counsel in the areas of international data privacy, cybersecurity, labor and employment.
Carlos Batista comes to BetterCloud with 20 years of experience in the information security space. As Vice President of Security, Carlos will oversee all aspects of security including, strategy and program management, product security, security operations, risk & compliance, and physical security. Carlos joins BetterCloud from SunTrust Bank, where he served in numerous cybersecurity leadership roles, most recently as SVP, Secure Design & Engineering. There, he was responsible for ensuring all SunTrust technology efforts were designed, developed, and deployed securely. Carlos also worked overseas for General Electric, leading product security within one of its global energy businesses.
As Vice President of Marketing, Mat Rider will leverage his extensive experience building brands and leading marketing teams to drive hypergrowth for BetterCloud. He joins the company at a stage of explosive momentum and will be laser focused on scaling the marketing team to drive growth and demand for the product, and boosting brand equity through a robust marketing and communications program that includes overall strategy and direction for the marketing organization. Previously, Mat was Global Director of Marketing for MongoDB, where he led global marketing efforts through the company's IPO. Prior to that, Mat was Senior Social Media and Marketing Manager for DocuSign, where he built the company's brand through online channels.
The new additions to the BetterCloud team come on the heels of momentous growth in 2017. Since securing its $60M funding round earlier this year, BetterCloud has established a partnership and technology integration with identity access management leader Okta. The company has also made significant additions to its SaaS Operations Management platform with the introduction of Activity-Based Alerts for the many applications the company supports.
