Better Coffee Imminent as MycoTechnology, Inc. Completes Angel Investing
AURORA, Colo., Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Aurora, Colorado based MycoTechnology, Inc. announced today that their early round of investment funding has been successfully concluded. This closes a two-month effort to raise funds that will allow development of a large-scale production facility and shipment of product to their initial customers.
MycoTechnology, Inc. was founded in March of 2013 for the purpose of using an all-natural process to improve the taste of foods. The initial focus is on improving the taste of coffee and chocolate products using the ReishiSmoothTM process.
According to investor James Shepard, "As a potential investor, I was given the opportunity to sample MycoTechnology's coffee. It was so smooth and delicious that it convinced me to invest in the company."
Mycotechnology is by definition the role of fungi in microbiology. The ReishiSmoothTM process, a form of myceliation, utilizes the ability of mushrooms to selectively consume bitter compounds in foods, resulting in better tasting products. In the case of coffee, it results in a sweeter and more full-bodied product.
The ReishiSmoothTM process is all-natural and utilizes the Reishi mushroom. The Reishi mushroom was called the 'mushroom of immortality' in ancient Eastern medicine, and its health benefits are well known around the world.
MycoTechnology, Inc. was the brainchild of Dr. Brooks Kelly, who received his PhD from Penn State University. He and his partners founded MycoTechnology, Inc. in March of 2013. Located in Aurora, CO, larger scale production of ReishiSmoothTM coffee is slated to begin in the next 30 days.
