GIBRALTAR, October 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Betfred.com this week unveiled an all-new and much improved website after months of research, planning and testing came to fruition - and the work does not stop there.
London-based firm Aqueduct managed the integration to the new CMS systems provided by Sitecore, helping to make the new Betfred.com website both intelligent and 'future-proof'.
Betfred.com has the unique ability to continually evolve and develop to meet the changing requirements and demands of the end users, the players.
Additionally, focus groups, extensive market research and competitions incentivising feedback from players have all played key roles from inception through to launch. The wholesale changes made were all done so with one thought in mind - the resulting benefits to the players.
Players have even been offered the chance to win a range of prizes for providing feedback on the website, with the ongoing objective being to capture, identify and address all key themes among the suggestions for improvement.
With a stylish new look complemented by a strong colour scheme, the changes made to Betfred's new online home are apparent from the outset.
Visitors to the homepage are immediately met by crystal clear graphics displayed in large carousel banners detailing the latest offers and promotions from Betfred.com's wide range of online products.
Exploring further, players will discover the option to personalise the layout of the various games and promotions on offer, with the ability to toggle between grid and carousel views, adding a personal touch and saving all-important playing time.
This is just one of several key changes made to the overall layout and navigational structure of the website, with the focus and emphasis always being on the resulting benefits to players. Examples include the new step-by-step Lottery betting process and product-specific promotions pages.
Some of the most important developments made are more subtle. Nonetheless they undoubtedly further enhance the overall user experience.
Chris Sheffield, Managing Director of Betfred's Gibraltar-based online operations (Petfre), said, "The team have worked hard to develop a website to support the aspirations for our business and customer feedback so far has been terrific."
The launch of the new website is the latest in a series of successful ventures for Betfred, following the acquisition of formerly Government-owned Tote Bookmakers, ongoing commercial partnerships with TalkSPORT Radio and Wembley Stadium and the recent announcement that Betfred will be sponsoring the prestigious 2012 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
From humble beginnings in Salford in 1967, Betfred has grown into a network of over 1,350 shops located all around the United Kingdom and the new website does real justice to the proud history of the company, symbolising the determination to remain a front-runner in the betting and gaming industry.
