Bestpass Sees Early Success with Full Toll Coverage in Florida and Kansas
Bestpass Continues National Coverage Expansion with More than $1.3 Million in Toll Volume in Two Key States
ALBANY, N.Y., Jan. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Bestpass, Inc., a company that provides single-source payment and streamlined toll management services to commercial fleets, today announced early results for the company's full integration of complete tolling coverage in Florida and Kansas.
In Florida, 218 Bestpass accounts have run more than 250,000 toll transactions for a total toll volume of more than $1.2 million. In Kansas, 178 Bestpass accounts have run more than 6,000 toll transactions for a total toll volume of more than $59,000. Bestpass has been offering full toll coverage in both states since late March 2015.
"Bestpass is a win for commercial motor carriers and the Kansas Turnpike," said Kansas Turnpike Authority Chief Executive Officer Steve Hewitt. "Commercial drivers keep moving while receiving electronic discounts, and KTA is able to keep more traffic moving."
"We already use Bestpass for most of our toll around the country, so we are always eager for opportunities to add new states and further consolidate our toll-related billing and reporting, which in turn helps our back office to be more efficient with time and money," said Yumiko Sagara of Trimac Transportation, a Bestpass customer with significant toll volume in both Florida and Kansas.
"Adding toll coverage in Florida and Kansas was a critical component in expanding our geographic reach to offer our customers a truly national tolling solution," said John Andrews, President and CEO of Bestpass. "We really appreciate the efforts of the tolling groups in both Florida and Kansas to work with Bestpass to bring innovative toll solutions to the largest group of users, who really need a national interoperable toll solution the most."
Late last year, Bestpass announced full tolling coverage in Texas, as well as a collaboration with the Detroit International Bridge Company, owner of the Ambassador Bridge, to streamline toll service for commercial vehicles using the bridge to travel between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario, in Canada.
"With the anticipated addition of Oklahoma early this year, we will cover 100 percent of major U.S. tolling facilities," said Andrews.
