Best U.S. President Qualified to Head Google or Facebook?
Survey of U.S. Workers Pick Bill Clinton #1
WASHINGTON, Feb. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- When asked, "If you could choose one of the following Presidents to be CEO of a mega-internet company such as Google or Facebook, who would you pick?" A February 14-16 survey of 103 U.S. workers reveals that President Bill Clinton is the number 1 choice with 20.6% of respondents. George W. Bush was voted as the last choice with 2% of the votes. Thomas Jefferson ranked second with 14.7% and Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan tied for third. Revenue Beast, the only revenue acceleration company, conducted the online survey.
According to Jeff Christian, CEO of Revenue Beast, "Bill Clinton was not a surprise. We anticipated that he would be the number one choice. Our biggest surprise was Thomas Jefferson. It was encouraging that Jefferson was chosen in that he was known as a 'technology buff' of his time, buying every new scientific instrument he could get his hands on."

Christian continued, "There are three pillars of leadership. First there are 'managers of execution,' often excellent chief operating officers. Then there are 'relationship builders' who are best at managing organizational consensus. And, finally, there are 'visionary leaders' who can drive organizations to the next level. The leaders that have all three traits are the rare few who are the superstars that drive organizations to breakthrough results. That is what is reflected in the top picks in this survey."
