Best Online Doctorates of Business Administration Ranking Released by Nonprofit Colleges Online
RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Nonprofit Colleges Online, a resource promoting nonprofit colleges and universities offering online degree programs, has just published a ranking of the best online Doctorates of Business Administration in the popular "Students Before Profits" award series.
The program at the top of the list is the Florida Institute of Technology located in Melbourne, Florida with a total estimated tuition of $25,200. Wilmington University in Wilmington, Delaware was second and Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia was third with estimated tuitions of $31,752 and $31,842-$42,282 respectively.
The Students Before Profits award was created to recognize colleges and universities that put "education before the bottom line" to counteract bad publicity surrounding the exploitive practices of online programs of study at for-profit educational institutions. The Online Doctorates in Business Administration Award ranks the top 30 colleges and universities offering fully online or low residency doctoral-level programs in business administration or related fields of study according to their affordability.

This ranking was limited to schools accredited by one of the six regional accrediting bodies for institutions of higher education that have lower than average tuition rates. "Doctoral-level degrees in business administration are somewhat uncommon," says Brett Gershon, the lead editor of the ranking, "but we believe in coming years that more of these programs will be offered as the business world grows increasingly complex and upper level executives require advanced training to navigate that complexity." Because this particular degree is currently somewhat uncommon, the 30 school ranking is comprised primarily of DBA programs available through distance education. As prospective students are typically employed full-time and working rigorous hours, this ranking should prove to be an invaluable resource for anyone seeking advanced education in this field.
