Best College Reviews Ranks Nation's Top 20 Online RN to BSN Programs

GRANDVILLE, Mich., April 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Best College Reviews (http://www.bestcollegereviews.org), an independent college search and rankings website, has published a ranking of the 20 Best Online RN to BSN Programs in the nation.

The University of Massachusetts - Amherst led the rankings, which were compiled based on affordability, the academic quality of the online program's parent institution, and a ranking based on flexibility. Western Carolina University (Cullowhee, NC), and University of Cincinnati College of Nursing came in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

According to Merrill Cook, lead editor for the ranking, the methodology for the ranking is based on what those looking at online RN to BSN programs really care about. "The target audience for online RN to BSN programs are often students who value flexibility because they're already part of the way into their career as RN's, and are often juggling work, family, and other engagements with their schoolwork. That's why we emphasized unique flexibility-granting opportunities in institutions, accelerated programs, credits for prior work experience, and so on," Cook said.
