WOODBURN, Ore., Oct. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Best College Reviews, a ranking service for American colleges and universities, has released a list of the top 50 Ethnically Diverse Schools. Statistics and definitions of race/ethnicity were gathered from the National Center for Education Statistics and Diverse Issues in Higher Education and school websites.
The full list can be viewed here: http://www.bestcollegereviews.org/features/top-ethnically-diverse-colleges/
We live in a global world, which means a diverse one. America has grown from ethnically diverse soil into the melting pot of freedom we know today. Our universities reflect much of the spirit of America to pioneer a future where all races and ethnicities have opportunity and equality. Aware of the value of differences in becoming a better individual and society, we at Best College Reviews found the search for the most ethnically diverse schools appropriate and exciting. For the many minorities that exist in our great nation, it is only fitting that students of diversity find a place that they feel at home, respected, embraced and celebrated for their heritage, but also a place that provides quality education.
Nick Plato, the article's author, said this about the list: "For me, diversity is an important concept in my life. I thought it important to find schools with intentional mission to be diverse that would serve young people in their search for a college to call home. A paraphrase of Maya Angelou communicates the truth about diversity best, "It is time to teach that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength."
