"This is an exciting milestone for SRS Labs as it further solidifies our growing position as the leading audio standard in mobile devices," said Allen H. Gharapetian, Vice President of Marketing for SRS Labs. "Bess Mobile is designing and launching some exciting new mobile communications devices, and we're looking forward to working with them to bring its customers the best possible mobile entertainment experience via our popular TruMedia technology suite."
"We selected SRS True Media Technology for our mobile phones as we found it to have the state of the art sound technology required for Bess Mobile phones to set them apart from the rest," said Roberto Fregoso, CTO of Bess Mobile.
Through the implementation of SRS TruMedia, music and videos played over a mobile phone's speakers or headphones sound remarkably more natural and detailed, with enhanced depth, deeper bass and more clarity of both compressed & uncompressed content. This multimedia-focused solution allows built-in speakers of all sizes and capabilities to offer a compelling surround sound field and notably increased bass response. While listening over headphones, users will be enveloped in up to a 5.1 surround sound experience, courtesy of SRS' advanced proprietary technologies incorporated into TruMedia.
Beginning in May 2010, two Bess Mobile handsets featuring SRS TruMedia will be made available for purchase at retail locations starting in Venezuela. Until now, mobile phones featuring SRS audio solutions were available across North America, Europe, Asia and the Asia Pacific markets. This latest partnership further solidifies SRS Labs as the de facto audio standard within a wide array of consumer electronic devices, including mobile phones.
Meanwhile, SRS TruMedia demonstrations will be available at Mobile World Congress Shen Zhen 2010, April 9 – 11, 2010. To schedule a demo during the show please email SRS at [email protected].
