Bertrand Poupart-Lafarge Appointed to Chief Investment Officer of AXA Equitable

NEW YORK, Nov. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, the primary insurance subsidiary of AXA Financial, Inc., announced today that Bertrand Poupart-Lafarge was elected to the position of executive vice president. Poupart-Lafarge is chief investment officer and treasurer of AXA Financial and its subsidiaries, including AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company. His appointment was confirmed during a board of directors meeting this month.

Poupart-Lafarge's primary responsibilities include oversight of investment and treasury activities; strategy and management of the investment portfolios of AXA Financial and its subsidiaries; and corporate development. He reports to Richard Dziadzio, chief financial officer.

Poupart-Lafarge joined the AXA organization in 1996, and has held several investment positions within AXA Real Estate and AXA France, where he was the chief investment officer for four years. Most recently, he was an executive vice president and chief financial officer for AXA Canada, responsible for developing the company's financial policies, plans and strategies.
