Bernd Allen is recognized by Continental Who's Who
NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bernd Allen is recognized by Continental Who's Who as 2017 Attorney of the Year in the field of Real Estate Law.
Allen currently serves as a Senior Partner at the law firm that he co-founded, entitled Allen, Morris, Troisi, and Simon, LLP. The firm handles all facets of the legal realm, but specializes in real estate law and has handled numerous types of cases regarding real estate disputes, property development and financing since the firm's establishment over 40 years ago.
In his role, Allen utilizes his extensive expertise in the facet of Real Estate Law. "I love Real Estate because it is creative," Allen said. "I was inspired to go to law school by a family friend that he met at dinner one night, and I began pursuing law the very next day."
As a Senior Partner, a large part of Allen's role at the firm consists of representing residential property buyers and owners dealing with condominiums, cooperatives and other types of residential homes and apartments in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Allen earned both his Juris Doctor and L.L.B. degrees from St. John's University Law School. In addition, he took courses toward a Master's degree in Taxation at New York University Law School.
Due to his outstanding success as a Real Estate lawyer, Allen is involved in both government and professional organizations that work to further his professional development. He is a founding member and past president of the Park Slope Betterment Committee, a community project committee dedicated to saving Pak Slope buildings slated for destruction by the City of New York pursuant to the unsafe building program. He also chained a CLE course from Lorman Education on the legal aspects of real estate and has given lectured for the New York City Bar Association.
Additionally, Allen has served as a volunteer arbitrator for the Civil Court of New York, and the real estate sections of both the New York State and New York City Bar Associations. He has also represented non-profit organizations including the Rainforest Alliance and the National Council of Jewish Women.
