Bernard Wolfsdorf Selected as Global Immigration Lawyer of the Year
SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bernard P. Wolfsdorf, Founding Partner of Wolfsdorf Rosenthal LLP, has been selected as "Global Corporate Immigration Lawyer of the Year" for 2015 by Who's Who Legal for the sixth consecutive year. Top corporate and EB-5 Investment Immigration attorney Mr. Wolfsdorf is lauded for his "exceptionally good" skills, and for serving as a "leading authority" on global corporate immigration. Mr. Wolfsdorf again secured the top spot after earning the most votes from more than 500 top-rated immigration lawyers around the world. "I am honored and most grateful to my colleagues and Who's Who Legal for their detailed research," says Mr. Wolfsdorf, who was reached after returning from China where he recently presented at EB-5 Investment Summits in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, and at other Investment Seminars in Xiamen and Guangzhou. "I am greatly honored to accept this award and recognition from my colleagues."
Three other Wolfsdorf Rosenthal Lawyers have been listed in the 2015 rankings, including the "terrific" Avi Friedman and Naveen Rahman Bhora. Mr. Friedman focuses on in-person attorney/client representation at US consular posts in Canada and Mexico, while Ms. Bhora is a "firm favorite" for clients in the exceptional ability and outstanding researcher spheres. Cliff Rosenthal specializes in the entertainment industry and is a "must for inclusion" according to our sources.
The firm specializes in investor cases under the EB-5 investor program. Mr. Wolfsdorf was recently quoted in a CNN Money article about the huge wave of Chinese EB-5 immigrant investor visa applications. "There are 13,000 pending applications, and the long queue is of particular concern for investors hoping to secure green cards for their children," said Wolfsdorf. Kids can only get dependent visas through an investor parent if they're 21 years or younger at the time of application approval. "Many apply so they can give their college kids a chance to attend top U.S. colleges," he explains. "Some parents who filed too close to the child's 21st birthday will age out."
Mr. Wolfsdorf is past President of the 14,000 member American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Mr. Wolfsdorf and his team of 20 lawyers assist investors, innovators and persons seeking global mobility. With offices in Los Angeles and New York City, Wolfsdorf Rosenthal LLP provides a full range of global immigration services to its diverse client base, ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to investors and leading institutions in health care, entertainment, and academia. Who's Who Legal lists are based on the findings of an independent six-month research process that includes feedback received during the research process, past performance, and the overall aggregate number of weighted votes cast in their favor.
