Berkery Noyes Names Three Managing Directors
Will Build Business, Oversee M&A in Key Information and Technology Markets
NEW YORK, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Berkery Noyes today announced the promotion of three executives to the position of Managing Director.
The appointments of John Guzzo, Vivek Kamath and Mai-Anh Tran are effective immediately.
John Guzzo joined Berkery Noyes as Vice President in 2005, and was promoted to Director in 2008. In those roles, he managed all aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions for the firm's information, media and technology clients, and helped develop and maintain relationships with key clients. Before joining Berkery Noyes, he spent eleven years in investment banking and financial services at Giuliani Capital Advisors and Ernst & Young. John is a Certified Public Accountant and received his MBA from Columbia Business School.
Vivek Kamath joined Berkery Noyes as an Analyst in 1999 and since then has participated in over 100 transactions across all segments of the information, media and technology markets. With his promotion to Vice President, in 2005, and to Director, in 2008, he focused on managing mergers and acquisitions in the firm's Education Practice. Vivek holds a BS degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Mai-Anh Tran joined Berkery Noyes in 2004 as Vice President, specializing in providing M&A advisory services to software and information companies, primarily in the Healthcare, Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical industries. Before joining Berkery Noyes, Mai-Anh gained corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions experience at Veronis Suhler Stevenson and Credit Suisse First Boston, and earlier served as an IT consultant with Ernst & Young. She holds a B.S. in Economics and Information Management Systems from New York University and an M.B.A. from Yale University. Mai-Anh is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
In their new roles as Managing Directors, Guzzo, Kamath and Tran are charged with securing and developing new client relationships for the firm. John Guzzo will concentrate on the Business Information and Financial Services sectors; Vivek Kamath will continue his emphasis on the Education, Knowledge Management and Training markets; and Mai-Anh Tran will focus on the Healthcare, Life Science and Pharmaceutical information and technology industries.
