Bent Image Lab Spins-Off YOUar Project into YOUar Inc.
PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bent Image Lab announced today that it has spun-off its internal augmented reality research project into a standalone Delaware corporation, YOUar Inc. The new company was formed to focus on commercializing the project's patent pending AR technology.
"YOUar Inc. will continue Bent's three-year journey to create an ideal, end-to-end augmented reality system that empowers users to fluidly discover, create and share persistent AR content in real world locations," says CEO Ray Di Carlo. An AR Cloud platform, unlike simplistic face filters used by Snapchat, Facebook and Apple, is a complex global-scale system able to precisely locate a device anywhere in the world. YOUar accurately positions content, synchronizes interactions, and visualizes locations remotely. This allows AR, VR, mobile and web users to seamlessly share interactive experiences.

The YOUar system is uniquely able to power large scale AR social, advertising and gaming networks, which makes it attractive to larger players looking to compete directly with offerings from Google and Apple. The company is currently hiring staff to build out its authoring platform and content network.
