NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Woman's luxury fashion designer, Benjamin Mach, (www.benjaminmach.com) featured on Project Runway All Stars Season 4 premiering on Lifetime Oct. 30th, has selected Simply the Best PR as his agency of record for national and regional media coverage and events.
Benjamin Mach, based in New York, is an Australian fashion designer who was introduced as the first Australian designer contestant on Project Runway, Season 11 in 2013.
In Project Runway All Stars Season 4, Benjamin joins 13 other designers as they return for redemption. This cast is heavy on designers from Runway's past few seasons and Benjamin offers some rare behind-the-scenes accounts from the Project Runway set.
For the past decade, Benjamin's career has included working for notable brands including Marchesa, WINTLE and Roberto Torretta, since graduating from the esteemed Sydney Institute of Technology, Fashion Design Studio.
Benjamin has now established himself on the fashion map with his independent brand BENJAMIN MACH, a luxury women's wear line.
Officially launched in New York in Feb. 2014, the BENJAMIN MACH label is available exclusively made to order. Mach's debut capsule collection for Fall '14 draws influence from the timeless style of Halston in his heyday combined with the urbanely sensual approach of Madeleine Vionnet and her technical innovation. Mach's style and attention to detail give his designs a unique edge as he successfully merges luxurious fabrics with modern design.
In the coming weeks, the 2014 BENJAMIN MACH ready-to-wear collection will be available online.
As a young boy in Sydney, Australia, Benjamin was surrounded by creative women and it was his mother, now a successful artist based in London, who taught him how to sew. Upon graduating from fashion school, he was touted as "Australia's Next Big Designer", and "one to watch" by VOGUE and immediately started showing at Mercedes-Benz Australian Fashion Week.
Highlights from Mach's career in Europe include working on red carpet gowns for Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Watts, Georgina Chapman, Tamara Mellon and designing for and dressing actress Joely Richardson and President Mikhail Gorbachev whilst part of the team at WINTLE. Mach returned to women's wear freelancing for the Spanish label Roberto Torretta in Madrid before relocating to New York. Benjamin also has a home in Wellington, Florida.
