Benihana Beaverton Completes Renovation, Welcomes Public Into Enhanced Space

MIAMI, June 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Benihana, the nation's leading operator of Japanese theme and sushi restaurants, is proud to unveil its newly renovated restaurant in Beaverton, Ore. The restaurant now includes an expanded sushi lounge, cocktail lounge, private dining rooms and an Asian-inspired rock garden patio.

Guests can relax and enjoy a meal among the Japanese-inspired decor, which features a waterfall, traditional Japanese dolls and Banzai trees. Located just off the sushi bar, the rock garden patio boasts an ambient fire pit. Here guests can order cocktails and appetizers while waiting to be seated for dinner, or enjoy entire meals of sushi or hibachi grill fare.

Beyond the enhanced atmosphere, Benihana Beaverton has expanded its capacity. The cocktail lounge has been enlarged to welcome up to 25 guests. Two private hibachi grill dining rooms—one with seating for up to 40 guests and the other a more intimate 20—have also been added to accommodate groups, meetings and special events. The enhanced 40-seat sushi lounge includes 10 seats at the counter where guests can interact directly with their chef.

Over the years, Benihana has become an integral member of the Portland community. Portland Trail Blazer players and other local celebrities frequently visit the restaurant. It has also become a favorite for school, summer camp and scout organizations that are looking to introduce children to Japanese cuisine. Benihana partners with local schools and libraries to provide fun incentives for reaching reading and achievement goals.

The restaurant is located at 9205 SW Cascade Ave. It is open Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. -10 p.m.
