Belmont Capital Group Launches Mutual Fund
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Belmont Capital GroupTM ("Belmont") is pleased to announce the launch of the Belmont Theta Income Fund (NASDAQ: BTIFX), an open-end mutual fund.
Belmont Theta Income Fund seeks to provide investors with total return consisting of income generation and capital growth by utilizing a defined-risk options writing strategy similar to Belmont's flagship Theta Overlay ProgramSM.
"The fund was created to provide Belmont's options strategy to a broader audience," said Stephen Solaka, Managing Partner at Belmont Capital Group. He continued, "We recognize the growing investor appetite for uncorrelated income and believe that Belmont is well-positioned to satisfy that need."
Belmont's Theta Overlay Program strategy had previously been available exclusively in separately managed accounts, with a track record dating back to December 2011. For the mutual fund, short-term U.S. government debt is used as collateral, which is intended to provide additional return and participation in a rising interest rate environment.
The fund is currently available for purchase at Schwab Institutional, Fidelity Investments, TD Ameritrade and Pershing.
"Offering the strategy in a daily liquid fund using our disciplined investment process is a natural next step in Belmont's evolution," notes Daniel Beckwith, Managing Partner at Belmont Capital Group.

Investors should carefully consider the investment objectives, risks, and charges and expenses of the fund before investing. The prospectus contains this and other information about the fund, and it should be read carefully before investing. Investors may obtain a copy of the prospectus by calling 800-789-1087.
The fund is distributed by Ultimus Fund Distributors, LLC (Member FINRA).
Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. There is no guarantee that the Fund will meet its investment objectives. Options involve risks different from, and in some respects greater than, the risks associated with investing in more traditional investments, such as stocks and bonds. No strategy, including option strategies, can eliminate risk. The value of investments with interest rate risk, such as debt securities, will move in the direction opposite to movements in interest rates. If interest rates rise, the value of such securities may decline. The value of the Fund's shares, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost.
Given the significant differences between separately managed accounts and mutual funds, investors should consider the differences in expenses, tax implications, and the overall objectives between separately managed accounts and mutual funds before investing. Past performance of the strategy/separately managed account is not indicative of future performance of the fund.
