INDIANAPOLIS, May 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bell Techlogix, the leading IT managed services and solutions company, today announced a 3 year agreement with Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) to deploy new wireless network infrastructure across 173 schools. This multi-year award provided BCPS with a turnkey centralized solution for the design and implementation of their wireless network across their districts.
In order for BCPS schools to process all of the new ways information is available to their students and teachers, they required a complete upgrade and refresh of their current wireless network infrastructure. Bell Techlogix, in partnership with Aerohive Networks®, a leader in controller-less Wi-Fi and cloud-managed mobile networking for the enterprise market, provided them with a comprehensive, turnkey solution for the design and implementation of their new networks. This solution enables BCPS to prepare for the next generation of learning with the introduction of a new 1:1initiative for all students. Bell Techlogix's experience and knowledge of educational IT programs, complex device deployments, wireless network environments, coupled with their deep understanding of the Aerohive solution, made them the perfect fit for BCPS.
"There has been accelerating demand in many educational institutions for networking solutions that can meet today's mobility challenges," said Kurt Mills, vice president channel sales, Aerohive Networks. "We're excited to be partnering with a solution provider like Bell Techlogix who understands the specific connectivity needs in education and can provide expertise and value at Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) and other educational institutions. They are a perfect fit for our solutions."
"The Aerohive solution was a great choice for our district and we have enjoyed working with Bell Techlogix on this project. They are doing a great job," said Greg Vukov at Baltimore County Schools.
"We are most proud of this award and our continuing relationship with BCPS to design, deploy and help manage these critical IT solutions further enabling the learning environment. With the proliferation of information systems, mobile devices, next generation curriculum and content, the IT educational infrastructure is more critical than ever for students, teachers and administrators alike," said Scott Allen, Vice President, Enterprise Services at Bell Techlogix.
This award represents yet another major educational institution that recognizes the value and expertise that Bell Techlogix brings to the 21st Century Learning Environment.
