Bel Air Internet Brings Wireless Internet Solution to Orange County and the South Bay
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Bel Air Internet, a boutique Internet provider based in Southern California, announced they are expanding their network footprint further into Orange County and the South Bay, including El Segundo and Torrance.
"Our dark fiber rich backbone with 10 gig wireless overlay will provide customers immediate relief of bandwidth limitations by local carriers," says Bel Air Internet Chief Technology Officer Diego Salas. "The dark fiber backbone allows us to easily scale from 10 to 40 to 100 gigs if needed as our expansion continues."
The expansion represents a natural step geographically for the company, which currently delivers high-speed Internet, television and phone services to over 60,000 daily users throughout the greater Los Angeles area, Santa Clarita and parts of Orange County. Bel Air Internet offers their services to individual customers within residential developments, hotels, studios, businesses and commercial properties, including a strong portfolio of production and media companies. BAI Live, the company's live event division, provides temporary Internet for events throughout the area, with over 400 events under their belts including the red carpets of the Oscars, Emmys and Grammys.
"We've seen a lot of growth in these areas and tremendous demand for carrier-grade (or better) Internet," says Bel Air Internet President and CEO Terry Koosed. "It is a market we have been eying for a while and we're excited to finally be able to accommodate customers in these areas."
Koosed said they will have the capability to deliver their Internet to MDU and commercial properties, as well as temporary Internet for events in areas that were previously hindered by bandwidth limitations. Bel Air Internet currently services a bevy media companies in the exploding Marina Del Rey and Playa Del Rey area, so expanding to El Segundo and beyond was a pressing priority for them as potential customers in the area sought their services.
"Customers will no longer have to wait 90 or 120 – or 365 – days for fiber to be delivered," says Salas, who says the company gets a number of clients who have grown weary of waiting for fiber to arrive. "Once our network is fully built out, we will be able to provide immediate service for customers."
