Soccer Match Between Barcelona and Real Madrid Tops Social Media Activity Charts
MIAMI, Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- beIN SPORT, the international sports network, posted the No. 1 program in Nielsen SocialGuide's Twitter TV Rankings based on Total Tweets for Oct. 26, 2013.
beIN SPORT captured the top spot with El Clasico, the match pitting bitter rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid. The rivalry pairs two of the most successful and popular soccer teams in the world.
In a weekend filled with top sports events, it was the game on beIN SPORT from Camp Nou in Barcelona that received the most social buzz. El Clasico beat out Game 3 of the World Series, which was broadcasted nationally, and multiple College Football games broadcasted across ESPN, ABC and other networks.

The El Clasico match this past Saturday was the second most-tweeted soccer game in the U.S. in the past two years. Only the El Clasico in the second leg of the 2012–13 Copa del Rey semi-final, which aired on Feb. 26, 2013, generated more tweets, according to Nielsen SocialGuide.
