The tiny house movement is growing thanks to numerous lifestyle benefits and the spotlight it has received from reality television shows. People are jumping on the trend for many reasons, but the most compelling include environmental concerns, financial considerations, and the desire for a simplified, more flexible life.

"Dream Tiny" Sweepstakes Is Behr's Biggest Ever

For Americans with big dreams of owning a tiny home, the chance has arrived. For its Dream Tiny sweepstakes, Behr has partnered with industry-leading Tumbleweed Tiny House Company to give away a custom Cypress® tiny house*. This grand prize will be beautified with BEHR® paint and outfitted with premium fixtures from Delta Faucet and Liberty Hardware. The grand prize will also include up to $25,000 in cash and a gift card for up to $1,000 for The Home Depot stores. Additionally, three first-prize winners will receive a $500 Airbnb gift card and $4,500 in cash which could be used for a tiny house dream trip; and 20 second prize winners will win a $100 The Home Depot gift card to.

Customize a virtual tiny house with shades of BEHR MARQUEE Exterior paint, and then, choose or upload a dream destination for the custom house—the beach, mountains or another picturesque setting—and submit the finished image with a short story about why a tiny house would make your big dreams come true. Winners will be selected in random drawings from eligible entries. Giving Back to Veterans in Need  

For every Dream Tiny entry it receives, Behr will donate $1 (up to $25,000) to Operation Tiny Home, a nonprofit that assists people struggling with housing instability. Currently, the organization is raising funds to build a tiny house for Robert, a wounded war veteran in Texas. After serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and sustaining injuries as a result of his service, Robert is unable to maintain steady work and needs help to find a permanent home.

Although construction began on his home earlier this year, a loss of funding put the project on pause.
