The U.S. equity market ended on a mixed note on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, as market participants remained focused on the Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting. The Fed is scheduled to release their monetary policy statement on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. The statement is expected to provide further details on earlier hints of the central bank plans to start easing its $85 billion a month bond purchase program.
