Beer by the Bay Music Festival Returns to Horseshoe Bay Resort
Texas Hill Country resort kicks off its fourth annual Beer by the Bay Music Festival with two nights of live music, scrumptious all-you-can-eat food and Texas craft beers
HORSESHOE BAY, Texas, July 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Music is in the air at Horseshoe Bay Resort! On Friday, August 5th, the AAA-four diamond resort will kick off its fourth annual Beer by the Bay Music Festival. Performances range from national country artists (multi-platinum-award winning Mark Wills, Kyle Park, Cameran Nelson, Kylie Rae Harris and more) to great get-up-and-dance music (Soul Track Mind), all-you-can-eat culinary delights and award-winning Texas microbreweries making this an event you can't miss.
"We're extremely excited about the Beer by the Bay Music Festival," Chief Marketing Officer Bryan Woodward said. "We have eight incredibly talented musical acts including many award-winning bands coming to Horseshoe Bay Resort and we know it's going to be an another outstanding event this year."
Wills headlines on Friday night and is a multi-platinum selling country music star with eight top 10 hits to his name including "19 Somethin'," "Wish You Were Here" and "Don't Laugh At Me," all of which received nominations for Single, Song and Video of the Year by the Country Music Association. Wills won the Academy of Country Music's award for Top New Male Vocalist in 1998. In 2002, his single "19 Somethin'" spent six consecutive weeks at No. 1, was Billboard's top country hit of the year and was the second most-played song of the decade in 2009.
On Saturday, the popular Texas Country artist Kyle Park will headline, with performances by Zane Williams, Kimberly Dunn and Soul Track Mind. Say it With a Bullet rounds out the festival lineup as the opener on Friday.
Park, born and raised outside of Austin, started playing country venues when he was just 15. Since then, his singles have regularly settled in the Texas Music Chart's Top 10, with his 2013 single "The Night Is Young" reaching No. 1. His Fall EP peaked at No. 1 in 2010 on the Billboard Heatseekers South Central list. He has also performed in Europe, and has opened for artists such as George Strait, Gary Allan, Clint Black, Eli Young Band and other country headliners.
Along with great bands, the music festival will feature microbrew offerings from around the Hill Country including scheduled selections from Real Ale Brewery, South Austin Brewing Company, Twisted X, Revolver, Solid Rock, Doublehorn, Guns & Oil and St. Arnold. In addition, the resort's culinary team is featuring an all-you-can-eat festival food menu ranging from Texas Hill Country favorites on Friday to A Taste of the Biergarten on Saturday that is included with each paid admission.
Cost for a one-day pass starts at $79, and includes all-you-can-eat food, beer tasting tickets, non-alcoholic beverages, and admission to the music festival. Tickets can be purchased online at hsbresort.com. For just $20 more, guests can purchase a one-day pass for $99 that includes unlimited craft beer tastings. Overnight Festival Hotel packages are also available online.
"We wanted to make this festival a great value," Woodward said. "Each night you'll get to hear amazing live music acts: four on Friday and four on Saturday, while enjoying food, drink and knowing that your parking is included. We encourage everyone to consider the overnight packages where everything is included and you can take the elevator home. It's a great value.
"Once you get here, all you have to do is enjoy the music, enjoy great culinary offerings and have fun."
Beer tastings and beers by the pint will be available for purchase each night as well as souvenir t-shirts and other specialty items.
Event organizers encourage festival goers to buy tickets early as last year's event sold out and this year's event is expected to sell out much like the Hot Air Balloon festival held last March. The event will be held outside on the Live Oak Event Lawn. The event organizers will utilize the Resort's 10,000 square foot ballroom as a backup should any inclement weather arrive the weekend of the festival.
Use the promo code HSBBEER for discounted early bird tickets through 8/5/16.
