Beech-Nut's homemade-inspired "real food for babies" was chosen by 40,000 consumers for top award
AMSTERDAM, N.Y., Feb. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Beech-Nut's new line of baby food has been named Product of the Year for 2015, as voted by more than 40,000 consumers surveyed worldwide. The Product of the Year survey is conducted by TNS, a global leader in consumer research. Beech-Nut accepted the award yesterday for the baby category at a ceremony held in New York City for all 2015 winners.
"Nearly 50,000 new packaged goods products are introduced each year," said Rich Fryling, Managing Director, Product of the Year USA. "Our research shows that 44 percent of consumers are more likely to purchase a product recommended by 40,000 shoppers just like them."
Before developing the new line, Beech-Nut visited with moms across the nation to learn about how moms were feeding their babies. These discussions inspired Beech-Nut to create 46 new flavors such as corn, black bean & amaranth and spinach, zucchini & quinoa using a just gentle cooking™ process similar to how moms make baby food at home. Due to the enthusiastic response from moms and babies, Beech-Nut is launching a new organic line in April.
