'Bed Head is Soy Stylish' contest details available on ExperienceBiOH.com - top entries vie for top-of-the-line HGTV Green Home by Serta queen mattress, runners-up to receive iTunes gift cards
MINNEAPOLIS, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- 'Bed Head,' the sleep-plastered hairstyle that brings on untamable snarls and mysterious flat spots will be celebrated and rewarded this spring during the "Bed Head is Soy Stylish" photo contest, sponsored by Cargill BiOH® Polyols in partnership with Serta®.
To enter, participants can connect through ExperienceBiOH.com to submit an early-morning hairstyle photo of you, your friends, neighbors, relatives and pets. Entries can be submitted until May 28. The public can vote on the entries May 29-June 4. At the end of this process, three judges – one each from Cargill BiOH polyols, Serta, and HGTV – will choose a winner among the top five vote getters. The grand prize winner will receive a top of the line HGTV Green Home by Serta queen mattress set – the Shannon Cove Mega Euro Top. Four runners up will receive $100 iTunes gift cards.
The contest is celebrating Serta's new the HGTV Green Home by Serta mattress collection featuring Cargill's soy-based BiOH Polyols, which replace a portion of the petroleum ingredients typically used in foam and result in a reduction in CO2 emissions in the supply chain. The mattresses are featured in the master bedroom of the 2010 HGTV Green Home in Plymouth, Mass. Public tours are available April 21-July 2.
The light-hearted competition was announced April 30 with a call for submissions on ExperienceBiOH.com. Participants and voters will also be alerted to the "Bed Head is Soy Stylish" contest through other BiOH brand sources, including Twitter and Facebook.
"It's a thrill to join with our partners at Serta to celebrate their new HGTV Green Home collection for this fun competition, and we're sure the "Bed Head is Soy Stylish" photo submissions are going to exceed our wildest expectations," said Jessica Koster, marketing manager for Cargill's BiOH polyols business. "By celebrating the hairstyles that are typically seen only by a spouse, very close friends and, maybe, the paper boy, we hope to stimulate thought about the importance of a good night's sleep and the choices available to those seeking more eco-friendly sleep products."
