Beck Street Capital Announces Sale of 82 Christopher Street in Manhattan

NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Beck Street Capital, a private real estate investment firm, today announced that it has closed on the sale of 82 Christopher Street, a five-story mixed-use retail and residential property located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City.  The transaction with Jayvanka, LLC is valued at approximately $6.1 million.  

Beck Street Capital purchased the building in December 2005 for $3.7 million and undertook significant renovations including a facade restoration, common area upgrades, and extensive apartment improvements.

82 Christopher Street is a mixed-use building featuring two retail spaces and eight apartments.  Steps from the Bleecker Street luxury retail corridor, the building is located on historic Christopher Street in Greenwich Village, one of the most widely-recognized addresses in the country.
