Bechtel Added to Impressive Keynote Lineup at RFID Journal LIVE! 2014

NEW YORK, Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- RFID Journal announced today that Bechtel will be featured during a keynote session at RFID Journal LIVE! 2014 (www.rfidjournalevents.com/live), the world's premier conference and exhibition focused on radio frequency identification (RFID) and its many business applications. 
This year's LIVE! event will be held on Apr. 8-10, at the Orange County Convention Center, located in Orlando, Fla.

Edward Koch, Bechtel's automation specialist and software product manager, will detail how the global engineering, construction and project-management company is employing RFID technology to track materials as they move through a complex localized supply chain, helping it to reduce costs and improve efficiencies in material handling at the construction sites of three mega-sized industrial projects.

The three major Bechtel projects sit side by side in Queensland, Australia, with three separate owners. Attendees will learn how the use of an RFID solution is a key component in meeting the demanding construction schedule. • Rear Admiral David F. Baucom, U.S. Transportation Command's director of strategy, policy and logistics, who will outline the Department of Defense's use of RFID to track shipments and improve supply chain execution
