Becca Tobin joins BullyVille.com to help put an end to bullying!
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - BullyVille Inc., http://www.BullyVille.com, the Internet's first anti-bullying social website and media platform is excited to announce their new partnership with Becca Tobin, who plays the role of Kitty on the hit FOX television show Glee!
Tobin will be joining BullyVille's male spokesperson, Dj ASHBA, the lead guitarist for Guns N' Roses and Sixx:A.M., to help bring awareness to bullying around the globe.
In a statement to the press, Tobin revealed her own personal struggles with bullying and why teaming up with BullyVille.com is very important to her: "I transferred schools halfway through my senior year, and dealt with a lot of bullying from a specific group of girls at the new school. I transferred from a performing arts high school, so the girls really enjoyed talking about what a "theatre nerd" or a "freak" I was. The only girlfriend I had at the new school started ignoring me, because the other girls threatened to kick her out of their clique if she didn't. I started skipping pep-rallies on Fridays because I would sit alone and receive dirty looks and mean comments from the other girls. Being the new kid is difficult enough, but being bullied on top of it made it pretty miserable. I am very excited about being the female spokesperson for BullyVille and helping others realize that it does get better and they are not alone!"
With Tobin, Ashba and BullyVille.com joining forces, James McGibney, the site's founder and a former United States Marine, knows this power team can help put a stop to bullying in every demographic possible!
"We are ecstatic to have Becca as our company spokeswoman. When I first read her story about how she was bullied as a teenager, I knew she would be a perfect fit for BullyVille. Not only is she a star on Glee, a show that does such a great job of promoting the anti-bullying movement, but she's an inspiration to millions of kids and living proof that anyone can overcome being bullied. With Becca now joining us, we look forward to helping put a stop to bullying once and for all! Semper FI!"
