Beacon Health Options Names Susan Coakley as New Northeast Market President

BOSTON, Feb. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading behavioral health management company Beacon Health Options (Beacon) today announced that Susan Coakley, former President of Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan (part of BMC Health System), has been hired as Northeast Market President. Coakley will start in her new position at Beacon Health Options on Monday, February 25^th.

In her role at Beacon Health Options, Coakley will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of innovative clinical programs and solutions to address behavioral health needs in the Northeast region.

Coakley has many years of experience working with government healthcare programs in the Northeast region. She most recently served as President of the Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan, which included responsibility for business in New Hampshire operating under the trade name Well Sense Health Plan.

In this role, she oversaw the organization's strategic direction and business operations, the ongoing development of programs and services that meet the needs of new and existing markets, and the implementation of initiatives that improve members' health. Together, Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan and Well Sense Health Plan served over 410,000 low- or moderate-income members across two states.
