Beacon Funding Sales Consultant Earns National Certificate of Achievement
TRAA's National Driver Certification Program awards Todd Chase with Level 3 Heavy Recovery Specialist Certification
NORTHBROOK, Ill., June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Todd Chase, a business development consultant with Beacon Funding Corporation, obtained a Level 3 Heavy Duty Certification in TRAA's National Driver Certification Program, and is now considered a Nationally Certified Heavy Recovery Specialist.
Completion of the National Driver Certification Program (NDCP) is a great accomplishment in the towing and recovery industry. To qualify for certification in this program, candidates must have a NDCP Level 2 Medium Duty Certification (Master Tower); a CDL with endorsements; two years of experience as a recovery specialist; a letter of recommendation from the candidate's employer, training school, or sponsor verifying that a candidate is qualified; and experience in at least 10 heavy tow recoveries.
Mr. Chase met all the qualifications and successfully completed the two subtests required for a Level 3 Certification. The written portion of the assessment evaluated knowledge deemed necessary by the Advisory Committee and required a passing grade of 80 percent or above. The oral test gave Mr. Chase the opportunity to demonstrate his skill level to a panel of certified Heavy Recovery Specialists, which required a minimum passing grade of 70 percent or above.
Mr. Chase's outstanding analytical abilities required in heavy duty recoveries allowed for his National Certificate of Achievement from the TRAA. This certification is industry recognition of his knowledge in towing, a skill set enabling him to offer a higher level of customer service when clients ask for advice on buying trucks for their business.
"I will not only assist customers with financing the equipment they need but also helping them to spec out the truck, find a new or used truck through our nationwide network of dealer partners and give them tips on what truck may fit their needs," says Mr. Chase.
