Beachbody Introduces New Tony Horton 22 Minute Hard Corps At-Home Fitness Program For The Boot Camp Enthusiast In Everyone
Program Includes Partnership with The Mission Continues to Support Veterans
SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Beachbody, the leading provider of in-home and gym-based fitness programs including P90X, 21 Day Fix and INSANITY, today announced the launch of super trainer Tony Horton's new no-nonsense, quick, military-themed workout series, 22 Minute Hard Corps. Based on the premise of simple-to-follow moves performed in cadence with the group on screen, 22 Minute Hard Corps is like basic training at home, with a disciplined approach to fitness and nutrition, in a comprehensive 8-week "boot camp" program incorporating all 4 branches of the US military.
"To serve in any branch of the military you need to be in top physical condition," said Horton, who created the billion dollar fitness phenomenon P90X and now 22 Minute Hard Corps. "I've met so many troops over the years, and this workout is designed with them in mind, but also to give everyone access to a full body, quick and efficient boot camp style routine. The workout is challenging but simple, and really will get people great results in only 22 minutes."
Inspired by Horton's passion for supporting the troops who serve in the U.S. Military, this eight-week fitness program requires only 22 minutes a day. After visiting more than 45 military bases throughout the course of his career, Horton brings the experience of military basic training into viewers' homes. The program is a no-nonsense boot camp style workout, modeled after the simplicity of military physical training techniques. Both a resistance and a cardio program, 22 Minute Hard Corps addresses the entire body and incorporates key movements for increased flexibility, mobility and balance.
The workouts were shot in locations such as the USS Iowa and an actual aircraft hangar with a cast including many U.S. veterans, representing each branch of the U.S. military. To celebrate the launch of this new military-inspired fitness program, Beachbody has committed to donating up to $500,000 to The Mission Continues, a non-profit organization that empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact.
"At Beachbody, our mission is to help people achieve their goals and enjoy healthy, fulfilling lives so The Mission Continues' commitment to empowering our veterans is something we're very proud to support," said Carl Daikeler, Chairman/CEO and co-founder of Beachbody. "We're celebrating the launch of 22 Minute Hard Corps with this partnership and supporting the men and women who inspire us every day."
A portion of the proceeds from the program will directly benefit The Mission Continues during the entire month of March 2016 with the expectation that at least 50 veterans will directly benefit from this launch promotion. "The Mission Continues and Beachbody share a commitment to empowering people to transform their lives for the better," says Spencer Kympton, U.S. Army veteran and president of The Mission Continues, "This generous support from Beachbody will provide veterans with even more opportunities to make a sustainable impact on local communities while inspiring future generations to serve.
