U.S. stocks closed lower on Monday as investors turned cautious ahead of the Fed meeting, which begins today. The NASDAQ Composite was down 0.63% to finish at 5,060.25, the S&P 500 slipped 0.41% to 2108.92, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.23% to end the session at 18,037.97. European stocks gained on Monday as Greece considered reshuffling its debt negotiators. Germany's DAX 30 jumped 1.93%; France's CAC 40 rose 1.30%, and London's FTSE 100 advanced 0.47% on Monday. Meanwhile, Asian stock markets mostly gained on Monday, amid surge in mining stocks in Australia and emanating news on possible reforms in China. The Shanghai Composite Index, Australia's S&P ASX and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index all closed higher on Monday.
On April 23, 2015, Sphere 3D Corp announced that in collaboration with Microsoft, the Company will showcase its technologies and product solutions during a joint global partner roadshow which will be hosted at multiple Microsoft Technology Center (MTCs) locations.
CalAmp Corp. (CalAmp), a leading provider of wireless products, services and solutions, has acquired privately held Crashboxx™, an early stage technology Company focused on insurance telematics applications, for a consideration of $1.5 million in upfront cash and future earn-out payments based on post-acquisition sales.
On April 23, 2015, Globus Medical, Inc. (Globus Medical) announced the appointment of Daniel T. Scavilla as its Senior Vice President and CFO effective May 4, 2015. Mr. Scavilla joins Globus Medical after a 28-year career with Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), wherein in his most recent role served as CFO Global Vice President Finance & Business Operations at JNJ's multi-billion dollar Vision Care Division.
On April 16, 2015, Xcerra Corporation (Xcerra) reported that its Multitest brand has shipped the first "Shaker" 45° high g sensor test module for the MT9928 to a major international integrated device manufacturer (IDM).
