BBVA Compass welcomes new member to its Fort Payne advisory board
-Dr. Sanjeev Saxena is an expert in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BBVA Compass named Dr. Sanjeev Saxena to its advisory board in Fort Payne, Ala., to help support the bank's business and development efforts.

Saxena is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with subspecialty certification in cardiovascular disease. He has taught medical students at the University of Miami, Miami Dade College and Penn State University. Saxena graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science. He received his doctorate in medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Penn State University. He completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Miami and he earned a Master's in Business Administration from Auburn University.
Saxena has lived in Fort Payne for the past decade and supports several local charities, including the American Red Cross as well as schools and animal shelters.
