BBVA Compass promotes Beaumont native to city president
- Longtime resident Will Leonard will represent bank in important market
- Larie Bishop also promoted to Beaumont Global Wealth market leader
HOUSTON, June 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BBVA Compass promoted Will Leonard to city president in his native Beaumont, where he'll be responsible for representing the bank and growing its presence in the important market.
Leonard most recently served as senior vice president of Commercial Banking for BBVA Compass. He began his banking career in 1983 and has worked for several banks in the region.
"Will has helped grow and solidify our market position in Beaumont since he joined the bank, and he's an experienced leader in both commercial and private banking," said East Texas Regional Executive Dan Brown, who previously led the Beaumont market.
A graduate of Lamar University, Leonard serves on the boards of the Neches River Festival, United Way, Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Trinity United Methodist Church and the Beaumont Country Club.
In other changes in Beaumont, Larie Bishop has been promoted to Global Wealth market leader from relationship manager. Bishop began her financial services career in 1990 and joined BBVA Compass in 2004 in the real estate and mineral management group.
She attended Lamar University and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society, among other organizations.
