BB&T ranks highest three years in a row for customer satisfaction among primary mortgage servicing companies
GREENVILLE, S.C., Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- For the third consecutive year, BB&T Corporation (NYSE: BBT) ranks highest in customer service satisfaction among primary U.S. mortgage servicing companies, according to a nationwide study released by J.D. Power and Associates. BB&T is the first mortgage servicer to ever win the award three years in a row.

BB&T's overall customer satisfaction index score of 803 (based on a 1,000-point scale) is 78 points higher than the industry average, 24 points higher than our closest competitor and 35 points higher than last year. The J.D. Power and Associates 2012 U.S. Primary Mortgage Servicer Satisfaction Study(SM) is based on responses from more than 5,600 homeowners and involves the 20 largest home mortgage providers in the nation. It measures customer satisfaction based on billing, payments, escrow account administration, website, and phone contact.
