BB&T names Eller president of Kentucky Region
Campbell to lead North Atlanta Region
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., July 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- BB&T today announced Tom Eller has been named regional president of its Louisville-based Kentucky Region. Eller, who currently serves as BB&T's South Carolina regional corporate banking officer in Greenville, S.C., will assume the role held by Heath Campbell who has been named regional president of BB&T's North Atlanta Region. The management change will be effective Aug.1.

Eller, 51, has more than 27 years of banking experience and joined BB&T in 2000 as business services officer in Hickory, N.C. He served as a regional credit officer in Asheville, N.C., and in 2003 was promoted to city executive in Spartanburg, S.C., where he was responsible for the commercial loan portfolio, budget and community involvement for the market. In 2010, he was named president for BB&T's Upstate Region in Greenville, S.C.

Eller earned his bachelor's degree in business management from North Carolina State University and has served in various leadership roles in his community. Since joining BB&T, he has served as a board member and treasurer of the Spartanburg (S.C.) Chamber of Commerce; board member of the Spartanburg Chapter of the American Red Cross; board chair of the Boys and Girls Club-Spartanburg; board member of United Way of Greenville; board member of Upstate Alliance; and board member of the South Carolina State Chamber of Commerce.
Campbell, 40, has more than 16 years of banking experience. Since joining BB&T in 2003, he has served as a business banker and a business services officer in BB&T's Charlotte Metro Region. In 2006, he was promoted to city executive for Iredell County, N.C., and in 2009, he was named area executive in Prince George County, Md. In 2013, Campbell became president for BB&T's Kentucky Region.
